‘Murang’ in Kabi Kabi language signifies totem systems and refers to animals or flesh. ‘Ngai’ relates to identity and means ‘I’. Together translates to ‘Us in Them’ and ‘Them is Us’ to explore the interconnectivity of everything in the environment. A site-specific installation and live performance over Lake Cootharaba, the project draws on sonic visualisations from culturally significant species such as the white-bellied sea eagle, rainbow lorikeet, cockatoo, black swan, dolphin, and native bee, the work invites reflection and encourages a multi-sensory engagement with place, disrupting anthropocentric worldviews.
Price includes: Bush Tucker tasting box, by Three Little Birds catering. There is an opportunity to advise of any dietary requirements when making your booking.
Important Notice: We kindly request visitors not to drive into the Esplanade (the road to the campground) as there will be no available parking spaces. Turning around in this area can be challenging. We advise arriving with sufficient time to find parking in the town area and walking the short distance to the campground. Thank you for your cooperation.
