Responding to contemporary ideas and concerns, the Floating Land Biennale shifts its frame of reference with each new occurrence.
In 2023, Floating Land: Us and Them, seeks to scrutinise aberration and affinity. To look at other perspectives and share who each of us are. Our stories and experiences. Our joys, darknesses and dreams. It will set out to challenge assumptions, check prejudice and revel in discomfort. Unpick antagonism, interrogate mutual exclusivity, and jumble competing concerns. It might even find some common ground.

There is no wheelchair access within the grounds of the John’s Landing, however we can arrange for a drive-through the site in your own car in dry weather. This would involve having a staff member walking in front of the car for the safety of others accessing the site. Please contact Noosa Regional Gallery to arrange this. 07 5329 6145.
Parking availability within the Hastings Street precinct may be difficult during peak times. Arriving early for ticketed events is recommended.
Some remote sites, including Johns Landing, do not have public amenities.
The majority of Floating Land sites and events are outdoors. Please be prepared for various weather conditions. Some events may be postponed if weather is unfavourable and ticket holders will be notified via email.
