Noosa Regional Gallery and pick up points across the Sunshine Coast
Sat 24 June to Sun 30 July
Zine culture fosters community, sharing, collaboration and innovation.
fl23 Zines has encouraged young graphic and visual artists to create zines publications inspired by the FL23 theme, as well as responding to the artists’ installations.
Participants have developed an inclusive vocabulary informed by the artist’s interviews and their own reflections about the artist’s practice and installations.
This content was fed into the making of a collection of unique individual Zines through design strategies such as photography, collage and illustration, creating all original artwork and being produced as part of the fl23 Unauthorized Voices.
This project has generated participants’ engagement with Floating Land: Us and Them, promoting a sense of inclusiveness, and a space to voice their ideas and reflections, whilst challenging and developing their skills and curiosity about the biennale and the artists involved this year.
